Bind a Server Menu to an Item in a Player's Inventory

Creating an Interactive Menu Item

Instead of requiring players to type commands, you can set up an item (like a compass or nether star) that opens your server menu when clicked.

Configuration Steps

1. In your ServerSelectorX config, locate the item bindings or interactions section

2. Specify the material type for your menu item (e.g., compass, nether star, book)

3. Set the display name and lore for the item

4. Link the item to your menu ID

5. Configure whether the item opens on left-click, right-click, or both

6. Run /ssx reload to activate

Giving Players the Item

Use a command like /give @a <material> to distribute the menu item, or have it given automatically on join using another plugin. Players can then click the item in their hotbar or inventory to open the server selector.

Tips

Choose an iconic material that fits your server's theme. Add helpful lore text like "Click to select a server." You can also make the item glow or add other visual effects through your configuration for better visibility.
