Reduce Lag from Your Villager Trading Hall

Why Trading Halls Cause Lag

Villager trading halls concentrate many entities in one area, causing significant performance drops. ServerCore Mod detects this and applies villager lobotomization—temporarily disabling pathfinding and AI for villagers outside your immediate interaction range.

How to Optimize Your Setup

1. Check current entity load using /statistics entities to see how many villagers are active

2. Spread out your hall into multiple smaller sections if possible, reducing entity density in single chunks

3. Use /servercore status to monitor dynamic performance adjustments—the mod will automatically limit villager activity based on server strain

4. Verify settings with /servercore settings | config to ensure entity activation ranges match your hall's layout

The mod will automatically manage which villagers remain active based on your proximity. Villagers outside your activation range won't process trades or pathfinding, dramatically reducing CPU load. If you notice continued lag, consider moving some trading functions to separate locations or reducing the total villager count.

Monitor Performance

Run /statistics entities periodically to confirm the mod is managing your villager population effectively.
