Configure ServerCore Settings for Your Server's Needs

Access the Configuration Menu

Use /servercore settings | config to open the in-game configuration interface. This allows you to customize how aggressively the mod optimizes performance without restarting the server.

Key Settings to Adjust

Entity Activation Range: Controls how far from players entities process AI and physics. Increasing this improves responsiveness but uses more CPU; decreasing it reduces lag but makes distant mobs freeze.

Chunk Ticking Distance: Determines how many chunks around players receive game ticks. Lower values reduce lag but may freeze farms outside the range.

Breeding Caps: Limits how many animals can breed in one area. Adjust based on your farm designs.

Dynamic Performance Checks: Enable to let the mod automatically reduce settings during server strain, or disable for consistent behavior.

Save and Test

1. Make one change at a time

2. Use /servercore status to confirm the change applied

3. Monitor performance with /statistics entities and /statistics block-entities

4. Adjust further if needed

Settings persist across server restarts once configured.
