Speed Up Server Joins by Using Cached Resource Packs

How Resource Pack Caching Works

Server Resourcepack Checker Mod automatically detects when a server's resource pack matches one you've already downloaded. Instead of re-downloading and re-loading the same pack, the mod skips the loading screen entirely.

What You Need to Do

1. Join servers normally — the mod works in the background without any configuration needed.

2. Keep your resource packs folder intact — don't delete old packs you've downloaded from servers. The mod compares file hashes against what's stored locally.

3. Rejoin the same server — on your second visit, you'll notice the Mojang loading bar is gone or significantly shorter.

Why This Matters

Every time you join a new server with a custom resource pack, Minecraft downloads and processes it. If you frequently visit the same servers, or switch between servers with identical packs, this mod eliminates repeated waits. The hash comparison is instant—the mod checks if what's on disk matches the server's pack before any loading begins.

No settings to tweak. Just install and enjoy faster server transitions.
