Understand Thread Pool Management
What Is a Thread Pool?
A thread pool is a collection of worker threads that handle tasks simultaneously. In Minecraft's server list, threads ping servers to fetch their status. Without enough threads, pings queue up and take longer.
How Server Pinger Fixer Manages Threads
The mod does two things:
1. Increases thread count – More threads are available to ping servers in parallel
2. Clears overloaded pools – When too many ping requests pile up (usually from rapid refreshing), the pool automatically clears and resets
Why This Matters
Without pool management, a backlog of ping requests can cause:
- Menu freezes
- Delayed server information
- Unresponsive refresh button
With the mod, the pool stays healthy and responsive.
You Don't Need to Configure Anything
Thread pool management happens automatically in the background. The mod optimizes these settings for you, so you can focus on playing rather than tweaking performance settings.
