Create Atmospheric Effects During Rain and Storms

Observe Rain Puddle Formation

During rain, Serendipity Shaders automatically creates puddles on flat surfaces and makes wet blocks reflective. Puddles are most visible on dirt, stone, and grass blocks.

Enhance Storm Visuals

Rain puddles reflect the sky and clouds, creating dynamic reflections that change as weather moves. The wet surface shine effect makes blocks appear slick and realistic. Volumetric clouds become more dramatic during storms, adding to the atmospheric effect.

Combine Effects for Maximum Impact

Stand near water during a storm to see puddles, water reflections, and wet block reflections all working together. The bloom effect from lightning (if enabled) will reflect in wet surfaces, creating striking visual moments.

Adjust Weather Intensity Settings

If rain effects feel too subtle or too intense, check the weather effects slider in shader options. Some players prefer more pronounced puddles, while others want a subtle wet sheen. Experiment to find your preference, then revisit the same location during the next storm to compare.
