Adjust Shader Quality for Better Performance
Access Shader Settings
Open the shader options menu while in-game by pressing the designated shader settings key (usually accessed through your graphics menu). Look for performance and quality sliders.
Reduce Quality for Smoother Gameplay
If you're experiencing frame rate drops, lower the shadow quality and reflection distance settings. These have the biggest impact on performance. Reduce volumetric cloud density and screen space path tracing samples—this maintains the semi-realistic look while freeing up GPU power.
Disable or lower specular reflection intensity if your system struggles. Temporal anti-aliasing can also be toggled off if it causes stuttering.
Optimize for Intel Graphics
Serendipity Shaders is optimized for Intel integrated graphics, but you may still need to dial back reflective shadow maps and ambient occlusion quality. Start with medium settings and increase gradually until you find your performance sweet spot.
Test Your Changes
After adjusting settings, fly around different biomes—forests, water, and caves—to see how changes affect both visuals and frame rate. Rainy weather is particularly demanding, so test during storms to ensure stability.
