Yokai spawn naturally throughout the new Japanese biomes, particularly in:

• Dark Subtropical Forests (higher concentration of hostile creatures)
• Bamboo Forests at night
• Areas near temples and structures
• Spider Lily Fields during specific times

Explore these biomes after dark for the best encounters.

Prepare for Combat

Equip samurai or ninja armor from the mod for better protection against yokai attacks. Craft or find traditional Japanese weapons—these deal bonus damage to mythical creatures compared to vanilla tools. Bring healing items and consider enchanting your gear.

Combat Strategy

Different yokai have unique attack patterns. Observe their behavior before engaging:

• Keep distance from ranged attackers
• Use terrain to your advantage
• Target weaker creatures first to build experience
• Some yokai may drop rare crafting materials or unique loot

Night time increases spawn rates, making it ideal for farming specific creatures. Return to the same biomes repeatedly to encounter different yokai types and build your collection of rare drops.
