How to Crack a World Seed with SeedCrackerX

Gather Structures First

SeedCrackerX works by collecting "bits" of information from naturally generated structures. You cannot crack a seed from nothing — you need to physically visit and interact with structures in the world. Good candidates are ocean monuments, end cities, desert wells, and emerald ore veins, since each has a known generation pattern tied to the seed.

Run the Cracker

Once you have visited several structures, open the SeedCrackerX GUI (default keybind, configurable in controls) and start the cracking process. The mod will analyze the collected bits and attempt to narrow down the seed. Watch the progress indicator — it will show how many bits are needed versus how many you have.

Add More Data If It Stalls

If cracking stalls, you simply do not have enough bits yet. Visit additional structures of the supported types and let the mod collect more data. Different structure types contribute different amounts of information, so mixing types usually speeds things up. When enough bits are collected, the mod will output the seed, which you can then copy and use in singleplayer or external seed tools.

Note that dungeon and fungus cracking no longer function, so do not waste time on those.
