How to Use Searchables Auto-Complete to Find Items Faster
What Auto-Complete Does
Searchables provides a suggestion dropdown beneath the search bar. As you type, it shows matching filter keys (like color: or shape:) and matching values for the key you are currently typing. This means you do not need to memorize every possible filter — the mod tells you what is valid.
Using It Effectively
1. Click the search bar and start typing a letter or two, for example co.
2. Look at the dropdown. You will see keys beginning with those letters, such as color:.
3. Press the down arrow or click a suggestion to insert it. The cursor lands right after the colon so you can immediately type a value.
4. Start typing the value, for example r for red. The dropdown now shows only values valid for the color key.
5. Select a value, then press space to begin a new filter if you want to stack conditions.
6. Press Enter or simply let the list update live — most interfaces refresh results as you type.
Why This Matters
Without auto-complete you would have to guess exact spelling and casing for every filter. With it, you can discover filters added by other mods on the fly. If you are unsure what a particular mod supports, clear the search bar and type a single letter to browse the full list of available keys.
