Identifying Rare Items During Search

When you open a chest with Search Carefully Mod active, items don't appear all at once. Rare items take significantly longer to reveal than common ones. You can watch the search progress in chat messages that display rarity calculations and completion status.

Strategy for Locating Valuables

These are your rarest finds.

• Use the magnifying glass indicator: Items still hidden show magnifying glass icons in their slots. The longer an icon persists, the rarer the item will likely be.
• Hover over revealed items: Once an item fully appears, hover your cursor over it to confirm its name and rarity tier.
• Prioritize structure chests: The mod applies to all generated structure chests, so dungeons, mansions, temples, and strongholds contain the best rare loot. Visit these locations if you're hunting specific valuable items.
• Return to unfinished searches: If you leave a chest before all items reveal, you can reopen it later to continue searching—useful if you want to defer waiting for ultra-rare items.
