Troubleshoot Cooking That Won't Start or Complete

Check Your Heat Source

The most common issue is an inactive campfire. Verify that:

• Your campfire is actually lit (it should show flames)
• The cooking pot is placed directly on top of the campfire block
• The campfire hasn't burned out—you may need to add more fuel

Verify Your Ingredients

Confirm you're using the exact items required for your recipe:

• For Exp Candy XS: one sculk block and one honeycomb
• For upgrades: the correct number of the smaller candy tier (6 XS → S, 3 S → M, etc.)

If ingredients are in your inventory but not in the pot, place them directly into the pot's interface.

Cooking takes time—don't remove the pot or let the fire go out mid-recipe. Once cooking finishes, collect your candy and add new ingredients for the next batch. If nothing happens after several minutes with a lit fire and correct ingredients, try breaking and replacing the pot.
