Navigate the Facility Without Getting Lost
Use the Layout to Your Advantage
The SCP facility is designed with interconnected wings and security checkpoints. Start by mapping out the main corridor from your spawn point. Note landmarks like blast doors, control panels, and distinctive room features. Take mental notes of which hallways lead to containment zones versus administrative areas.
Follow Security Markers
Look for painted lines, warning signs, and door numbering systems on the walls—these mirror real facility navigation. Red-marked doors typically indicate high-security containment areas, while yellow markers often lead to maintenance passages. Use these visual cues to backtrack if you become disoriented.
Establish Safe Checkpoints
Place torches or other markers at key intersections as you explore. This creates a breadcrumb trail back to spawn or known safe zones. In multiplayer, coordinate with teammates about which areas you've cleared and which remain unexplored. Avoid wandering into pitch-black sections alone—always bring adequate lighting and a clear exit strategy.
