Understanding the Bleeding Effect

What Bleeding Does

When SCP-058 successfully attacks you, it applies the Bleeding effect. This status effect has two components:

• Visual distortion: Your screen becomes tinted with blood, making it harder to see and navigate
• Continuous damage: You take damage over time while the effect is active

The combination makes escape more difficult since your vision is compromised while you're taking damage.

Managing Bleeding

To reduce the danger:

• Keep healing items (food, potions) in your hotbar for quick access
• Eat or drink immediately after being hit to counteract damage
• Find shelter quickly—the visual impairment makes outdoor navigation hazardous
• Avoid additional mobs while bleeding, as your reduced visibility makes combat harder

The Bleeding effect is temporary, but the damage it deals can be fatal if you're already low on health. Prioritize healing and safety over fighting back.
