Scholar Mod Guide: Book Viewing, Editing, and Customization

Getting Started with Scholar Mod

Scholar Mod reworks how books behave in Minecraft, focusing on reading, writing, and organizing them. When you open a book, you get a two-page viewing and editing interface instead of the vanilla single-page layout, making longer texts easier to read and revise.

The mod adds advanced text formatting options, so you can style book contents beyond plain text. Book editing also works on a Lectern, letting you write and adjust text directly there rather than only through a held book.

Signing books uses an improved interface, and books can be customized with colors for a more personal look. If you store books in a Chiseled Bookshelf, a tooltip helps you navigate the shelf, and the shelf's colors can match the books inside it.

Small quality-of-life touches include removing the enchanted glint from books and keeping the book UI unpaused in singleplayer. All of these settings are configurable, so you can adjust the mod to suit your preferences.
