Unlocking Crimson Rites Research

Begin by scanning any Crimson Cultist with your Thaumometer to discover the initial cult research. Defeat cultists in combat until one drops a Crimson Rites book. Complete the Crimson Rites research in your Thaumonomicon to unlock a new progression tab filled with forbidden knowledge.

Once unlocked, study the available research nodes to learn crafting recipes for cult weapons, armor, and magical focus effects. The mod adds powerful eldritch gear including the Axe of Execution, Boots of the Comet, and Shovel of the Purifier, each with unique abilities. You can also dye cult armor sets in custom colors and craft golem parts from Crimson materials. New world structures like Eldritch Totems and village towers spawn across the Overworld, often containing valuable loot chests.
