Each Red Gate applies persistent environmental effects: Blood Moon Forest darkens the sky and empowers enemies, The Abyssal Prison spawns relentless dark creatures with no rest periods, Infernal Warzone fills the arena with fire hazards that damage you constantly, The Storm Highway closes in progressively until all enemies fall, and Throne of the Fallen Monarch forces you to face multiple ancient bosses in succession.

Preparation and Tactics

Before entering a Red Gate, fully upgrade your relevant skills. For fire-heavy challenges, prioritize Vitality and Ferocity. For creature-spam dungeons, summon your strongest shadows via Arise and boost them with Dominion. Bring shadow soldiers that counter the specific hazard—fire-resistant shadows for Infernal Warzone, for example.
