Set a Fake Name for Yourself

Changing Your Own Display Name

You can set a fake name for your own character without modifying your actual account:

1. Open chat (T key)

2. Type: /fakename set [fakename]

3. Leave the player field blank (don't include a username)

4. Replace [fakename] with your desired display name

5. Press Enter

Your new fake name will now appear in chat messages you send and above your character's head.

Quick Method

Use the shorter alias: /fn set [fakename]

This is useful for roleplaying, creating alternate personas, or simply personalizing how you appear to other players. Your real account name remains unchanged—only the visual display is affected. Other players will see your fake name in their chat unless they look up your real name using the /realname command.
