Reading Your Salmon Fish Health Bar

The Salmon Hearts Resource Pack transforms your health display into fish icons, making it easier to spot your condition during combat and exploration.

Normal Health: Salmon fish icons appear in their standard coloring when you're healthy. Each fish represents half a heart of health.

Status Effects: Different effects display as distinctly colored fish:

• Poison damage shows as green-tinted salmon icons in the swamp or when affected by cave spiders and bees
• Wither effect displays as darkened or corrupted fish icons when fighting the Wither or affected mobs
• Freezing renders as icy or frost-colored fish when standing in powder snow or hit by freeze attacks
• Absorption appears as enhanced or glowing fish icons when you have temporary extra protection

Hardcore Mode Indicator

If you're playing in Hardcore mode, the salmon fish icons adapt their appearance to match the hardcore experience, maintaining visual consistency while showing your single life bar.

Watch your fish icons carefully during dangerous encounters—color changes warn you of incoming status effects before they become critical.
