Enhance Water Visuals and Reflections
Locate Water Settings
Access the shader configuration menu and find the water or reflection section. Salicylic Shaders provides dedicated controls for water surface appearance.
Configure Water Parameters
- Water Clarity: Adjust transparency to control how far you can see underwater. Increase for tropical biome aesthetics; decrease for murky swamp or deep ocean feeling.
- Wave Intensity: Controls surface ripple and wave animation. Higher settings create more dynamic, turbulent water; lower settings produce calm, mirror-like surfaces.
- Reflection Strength: Determines how much the sky and surroundings reflect on water surfaces. Boost this for dramatic cinematic reflections.
Apply to Different Water Types
Changes affect all water globally, but the visual impact varies by location. Test in multiple biomes: oceans show reflections best, while rivers demonstrate wave animation clearly.
Balance Readability
If water becomes too reflective or opaque, adjust clarity to maintain visibility when swimming or diving. The goal is atmospheric beauty without sacrificing survival functionality.
