Setting Up a Survival Base in the Manor
Choosing Your Room
Walk through the manor and identify a room that suits your needs. Ground-floor rooms work well for storage and crafting stations, while upper rooms can serve as bedrooms or workshops. Look for spaces with good natural light from windows and room to add your own furniture.
Preparing the Space
Clear out decorative items you don't need by breaking them down. The manor's existing wooden architecture provides good structural support, so you won't need to reinforce walls. Place your crafting table, furnace, and storage chests along one wall to keep the room organized.
Adding Utilities
Set up a bed in a quieter room away from your main work area. Consider the manor's layout when planning where to place a farm—outdoor spaces on the grounds offer plenty of room. If you need a mine entrance, the basement or cellar areas are ideal locations that blend with the rustic theme.
Connecting Rooms
Use the existing doorways to create a logical flow between your base areas. Mark pathways with torches or lanterns to navigate safely at night while maintaining the manor's aesthetic.
