Climbing All Tower Stairs and Reaching the Highest Viewpoints
Identifying Tower Entrances
The cathedral features multiple towers with interior staircase access. From the main interior hall, look for doorways and archways that lead to tower bases. These are typically located at corners or along the outer walls of the main structure.
Ascending Each Tower
1. Locate the staircase entrance — Enter the tower doorway and find the spiral or straight staircase
2. Climb steadily — Follow the stairs upward, watching for landings and intermediate levels
3. Reach the top chamber — Each tower culminates in an observation or bell chamber
4. Exit to the exterior viewing platform — Step outside onto the tower top for panoramic views
Viewing Strategy
Climb during clear weather for maximum visibility. From the highest towers, you can see the surrounding landscape, the cathedral's exterior dome structure, and neighboring terrain. Each tower offers slightly different perspectives of the building's architecture and the world beyond.
Navigation Note
If stairs seem blocked or unclear, check for alternative routes—some towers may have multiple access points or connecting passages between levels.
