How to Show FPS, Coordinates, and Other On-Screen Info with Rubidium Extra

Rubidium Extra can display useful overlays like your framerate, coordinates, and notifications directly on screen, similar to OptiFine's info displays.

Enabling the Info Displays

Open video settings and locate the Rubidium Extra section. Find the group of options for extra information or overlays. Each display has its own toggle, so you enable only what you want.

What You Can Turn On

  • FPS: Shows your current framerate on screen. Handy while tuning the animation and particle settings.
  • Coordinates: Displays your X/Y/Z position, useful when you don't want to open the debug screen.
  • Clouds info: Relates to cloud rendering details.
  • Notifications: On-screen messages, such as when settings change or toasts appear.

Tips for Using Overlays

Enable the FPS counter first, then adjust other graphics options while watching the number change in real time. If the overlays clutter your view during normal play, toggle them off and only re-enable when benchmarking or navigating. Because these are display-only, they don't affect performance meaningfully on their own, so leave on whatever helps you play.
