Fix Washed-Out Colors in Menus and Inventory
Why Menus Look Wrong
When HDR lighting is active, Minecraft's menus and inventory can appear faded or overly bright because they weren't designed for high dynamic range. The mod includes a built-in fix.
Apply the Menu Color Correction
1. Press F9 to open the brightness settings menu
2. Look for the UI brightness slider
3. Adjust this slider until your inventory, crafting menu, and pause screen look normal and readable
4. Text should have good contrast against backgrounds
5. Item icons should display their true colors
The menu fix works automatically once you've configured the UI slider. It isolates menu rendering from the HDR lighting system, ensuring that interface elements always appear crisp and properly colored regardless of your other brightness settings.
If menus still look off after adjustment, verify that your shader pack's colorspace is set to sRGB in Iris—this is essential for the menu fix to work correctly.
