Protect Your Stash from Loss

Understanding Stash Persistence

Village stashes are ender chests, so they follow standard ender chest rules. Items stored inside are safe from:

  • Dying and losing your inventory
  • Accidental deletion
  • Fire, water, or environmental damage

Your stash inventory persists across deaths and world reloads.

Best Practices for Item Safety

1. Store valuables regularly: Don't carry rare items for long distances—deposit them at the nearest stash

2. Use stashes before dangerous activities: Before entering the Nether, fighting bosses, or exploring caves, empty your inventory into a stash

3. Retrieve only what you need: Take supplies from the stash for specific tasks rather than hoarding everything

Backup Strategy

If you're concerned about losing access to a village, remember that stashes are connected. Even if one village is destroyed, your items remain accessible from any other village stash in your world. Consider establishing multiple villages as backup storage locations in different regions.
