Fixing Square Trunks When Round Trees Isn't Working
Why the Pack Might Not Apply
Round Trees only changes block models, so anything that overrides those same model files will win. Common culprits are other tree or foliage packs, connected-textures packs, and any pack that retextures logs. Load order decides the winner, and the pack higher in the list takes priority.
Troubleshooting Steps
1. Go to Options, then Resource Packs, and confirm Round Trees is in the Selected column, not Available.
2. Drag Round Trees to the very top of the Selected list so nothing overrides it.
3. Press Done and let the game reload resources. If you are in a world, the change applies immediately without restarting.
4. If trunks are still square, temporarily disable every other selected pack except Round Trees and check again.
5. Re-enable your other packs one at a time, checking after each, to find the one that conflicts.
If It Still Fails
Make sure the pack file itself is intact — a corrupted or partially downloaded pack may load without error but change nothing. Re-download it and replace the old copy. Also confirm you are looking at actual log blocks and not stripped logs, planks, or wood blocks, which may use different models the pack does not touch.
