Troubleshoot Missing or Blocky Sun and Moon

Diagnosing Display Issues

If you see the vanilla blocky sun and moon instead of smooth circular ones, the resource pack isn't loading correctly.

Verification Steps

1. Open your Resource Packs menu from the main screen

2. Confirm Round Sun & Moon is in the Active list (right side), not the inactive list

3. Drag it to the top of the active list to ensure it loads last and overrides other packs

4. Close and reopen your world—changes take effect on world load

5. Check that you're in Survival or Creative mode; some modes may not display resource packs

If Problems Persist

• Verify the pack file isn't corrupted by re-downloading it
• Disable all other resource packs temporarily to isolate conflicts
• Ensure your Minecraft version matches the pack's compatibility (check the pack description)
• Clear your resource pack cache by restarting the launcher
• Test in a new world to rule out world-specific issues

Once active and positioned correctly, the round sun should appear immediately during daytime, and the circular moon during night cycles.
