Achieve a Perfect Combo on Your First Song

Understand the Timing Window

Each ore block appears in a colored frame just before you need to hit it. The frame color indicates which note is coming next in the song. Watch for the visual cue and listen to the music—you need to swing your pickaxe when the beat aligns with the block's appearance.

Start with an Easier Difficulty

Begin on a lower difficulty song to learn the rhythm without overwhelming yourself. Easier tracks have slower tempos and longer gaps between notes, giving you more time to react. As your timing improves, move to harder songs.

Adjust Your Music Start Offset

If your hits feel consistently early or late, open the music start offset control panel. This setting compensates for your computer's audio delay. Small adjustments (a few milliseconds) can make a huge difference in hitting notes accurately.

Focus on Consistency Over Speed

Don't rush your swings. Instead, tap into the song's rhythm and let it guide your pickaxe timing. Each successful hit builds your combo counter—missing even one note resets it, so precision matters more than speed.
