Enhance Water Reflections and Appearance

Locate Water Settings

Open the shader options menu and find the water or reflection section. This shader includes dedicated controls for water appearance, separate from general graphics settings.

Adjust Reflection Quality

Look for sliders controlling reflection strength, water clarity, or reflection distance. Increasing reflection strength makes water mirror the sky and clouds more vividly. Higher reflection distance means water reflects objects farther away, but uses more resources. Start with moderate values and increase if your system handles it well.

Fine-Tune Water Color and Waves

Some water settings control transparency and wave intensity. Adjusting these makes water feel more dynamic and realistic. If water looks too murky, increase transparency. If waves seem too pronounced or not pronounced enough, find the wave amplitude or frequency slider.

Test in Different Environments

Visit oceans, rivers, and lakes to see how your adjustments look. Water appearance changes based on sky color and time of day, so test at sunrise, noon, and sunset. Reflections should feel natural without overwhelming the scene.
