Using Floating Water Bodies for Survival
Finding Floating Water
Floating oceans, rivers, and aquifers generate throughout the landscape. These suspended water sources are part of the datapack's world generation and appear at various heights. They're useful for travel and resource gathering, but require careful navigation.
Fishing and Resources
Floating water bodies support normal fishing mechanics. You can catch fish and other items as usual. However, these water sources are often isolated, making them less reliable than a personal water pool at your base.
Travel by Water
Boats work on floating oceans and rivers, allowing rapid travel between distant islands. This is safer than building bridges for long distances. However, falling from a boat into the void is still fatal, so stay alert.
Aquifer Awareness
Smaller aquifers generate within biomes on islands. These can be useful for local water access but may be difficult to reach. Plan your base location with water access in mind—either near a floating body or where you can create your own.
Don't rely solely on floating water for survival; establish a permanent water source at your base for reliability.
