Layer Additional Mods for Enhanced Customization
Retrograde Vision works as a foundation, but you can extend it with complementary mods:
- Entity feature mods (like Entity Texture Features) let you add variant skins or details to mobs while keeping the retro style
- Connected texture mods (Continuity, CTM) make blocks connect naturally, enhancing the classic feel
- Shader packs designed for retro aesthetics can add lighting that matches the old Minecraft look
Adjust Load Order in Your Resource Packs
If you're using multiple packs alongside Retrograde Vision:
1. Go to Settings → Resource Packs
2. Arrange packs so Retrograde Vision sits *below* any packs you want to override it, and *above* any packs you want it to override
3. Test in your world and adjust if certain textures don't look right
This layering approach lets you keep the retro foundation while selectively applying modern or custom textures to specific elements. Experiment with different orders to find your preferred look.
