How to Reset Resourceful Config Settings Back to Default
If you have tweaked a mod's options and want to return to how things were out of the box, Resourceful Config makes reverting simple without deleting files by hand.
Resetting Through the Interface
1. Open the Mods list and select the mod whose config you want to reset.
2. Click the Config button to launch the Resourceful Config screen.
3. Look for a reset or restore-defaults control. Depending on the mod, this may be a button for the whole config or a per-option reset icon next to each setting.
4. Choose the scope you want:
- Reset a single option to its default value.
- Reset an entire category.
- Reset the whole config at once.
5. Confirm the reset, then save so the defaults are written back.
If You Prefer a Clean Slate
- Closing the game and deleting the mod's config file also forces it to regenerate with defaults on next launch, but you lose any custom values you had set.
- After resetting, restart if the mod marks its options as requiring a restart.
Resetting is useful when an experimental change broke behavior or caused a crash on load. Returning to defaults gives you a known-good starting point before you re-tweak one setting at a time.
