Growing Your First Swamp Tree

Find or Create a Swamp Biome

Locate a swamp biome in your world, or use commands to teleport to one. Swamps are characterized by shallow water, lily pads, and mangrove-like vegetation. If you're in Creative mode, you can use biome commands to generate one nearby.

Plant and Grow Your Sapling

1. Obtain oak saplings (from oak trees or by breaking leaves)

2. Find a suitable spot in the swamp—saplings need soil or grass blocks

3. Plant the sapling by right-clicking on a block

4. Growth speed depends on light levels and random ticks; bone meal can accelerate the process

5. Once fully grown, the sapling will develop into an authentic swamp tree with the characteristic twisted trunk and drooping foliage

Harvest and Replant

Once your swamp tree is mature, chop it down and collect the wood. The leaves will drop saplings, allowing you to replant and create a sustainable swamp tree farm. This renewable resource system lets you maintain a steady supply of swamp wood without relying on natural generation.
