Remove Potion Particles Resource Pack FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

What does the Remove Potion Particles pack actually remove?
It removes the swirling colored particle effect that appears around entities under a potion effect. It does not remove the potion effect itself, the HUD status icon, or the timer in your inventory screen.
How do I turn it on after downloading it?
Open Options, then Resource Packs, and move the pack from the left column to the right column so it is active. If it does not appear in the list, make sure the pack file is in your resourcepacks folder.
Does this pack remove particles from other players and mobs too?
Yes. Because it changes the particle texture itself, the effect disappears on every entity using that particle, including other players, mobs, and yourself.
Why do potion particles still show up after I enabled the pack?
The most common cause is another resource pack loading above it and overriding the particle texture. Move this pack to the top of the active list, or remove the conflicting pack.
Will this hide my potion effect icons or timers?
No. The pack only targets the world particle effect, so your HUD icons and the effect timers in the inventory screen stay visible.
Can I use this pack on a server?
Yes, resource packs are client-side, so it works on any server without the server needing to install anything. Other players will still see their own particles unless they also use the pack.
Does it work together with other resource packs like shaders or texture packs?
It can, as long as no other pack overrides the same particle texture. Load this pack above general texture packs and below any pack you want to take priority for other textures.
Will this improve my FPS or performance?
It can help slightly in situations with many potion-effect entities, since fewer particles are rendered. The gain is small and depends on how many effect particles were on screen.
Does it remove particles from beacons, conduits, or other effects?
It only affects the potion-effect particle. Beacons, conduits, and other sources use different particles, so those are unaffected unless a separate pack handles them.
How do I disable it if I want the particles back?
Go to Options, then Resource Packs, and move the pack back to the left column or click it to deactivate. The default particles return immediately without restarting the game.
