Designing Fence Gates and Entrances
Matching Gates to Fences
Each fence type includes a corresponding gate model that shares the same visual style. This pack ensures that your gates look intentional and coordinated with surrounding fencing, rather than appearing as generic barriers.
Creating Attractive Entrances
1. Select a fence type that matches your build's aesthetic
2. Place the corresponding fence gate in the center of your fence line
3. Frame the gate with additional fence blocks on both sides for a finished look
4. Consider adding posts or pillars using full blocks to anchor the entrance
5. Use fence gates as transition points between different areas of your build
Design Enhancements
Flank gates with decorative elements like lanterns, signs, or plants to draw attention. Create double-gate entrances by placing two gates side-by-side for grander openings. Mix gate types in large structures—use different wood gates for different sections to add visual interest. Build gate archways by extending fences upward and overhead, creating a tunnel effect. The remodeled gates work particularly well in these elaborate designs because their unique models add character that vanilla gates lack.
