Capture Screenshots That Show Off REM's Best Features
Choose the Right Time of Day
REM's hazy autumn lighting shines during golden hour—early morning and late afternoon. The warm bloom effect is most dramatic when the sun is low, casting long shadows and bathing the landscape in cozy light. Avoid midday for the most striking visuals.
Find Scenic Locations
Seek out biomes with varied terrain and plenty of light sources:
- Forests and meadows showcase the warm glow on foliage
- Beaches and water reflect bloom beautifully
- Villages and structures benefit from the soft shadows and gentle lighting
- Areas with lava or glowstone highlight the bloom effect dramatically
Disable UI Elements
Press F1 to hide your hotbar and HUD for cleaner screenshots. Use F2 to capture without the debug screen.
Experiment with Camera Angles
Capture wide landscapes to show the overall atmosphere, then zoom in on details like glowing flowers or lit torches to demonstrate bloom quality. Include both bright and shadowed areas to show contrast.
Adjust Settings for Maximum Impact
Temporarily increase bloom intensity slightly before taking shots to make the effect more visible in still images.
