Adjust Bloom Intensity to Suit Your Preference

Access Shader Settings

Open the shader options menu by pressing the designated key (usually accessed through Video Settings > Shaders > Shader Options). Look for bloom or glow-related sliders.

Fine-Tune Bloom Strength

The warm bloom effect can feel overwhelming in bright areas or too subtle in caves. Locate the bloom intensity or bloom strength slider and adjust it to your liking:

  • Lower values reduce the soft glow around light sources, making the world feel sharper and less hazy
  • Higher values intensify the cozy, dreamlike effect across bright areas and glowing blocks

Test in Different Lighting

Move between sunlit areas, caves, and near light sources like torches and lanterns to see how your changes feel. The bloom effect is most visible around bright spots, so test near lava, glowstone, and during sunset.

Save Your Preferences

Once you find a balance that feels right, the settings typically save automatically. If you want to experiment further, you can always return to the shader options and adjust again without restarting the game.
