Hide Items from Recipe Viewers Like EMI

Add Items to Your Ban List

Open your configuration file and list every item you want hidden from recipe menus. Use the full item identifier for each one.

Reload the Game

Type /reload in chat. The mod instantly hides those items from all recipe viewer interfaces, including EMI and similar mods.

Why This Matters

Banning an item doesn't just remove it from your inventory—it also removes it from recipe displays. Players won't see how to craft banned items, and they won't find them when searching recipe menus. This is especially useful for modpack creators who want to gate content or prevent access to certain gear.

Test Multiple Viewers

Open EMI or your preferred recipe mod. Search for a banned item—it won't appear in results. Try looking at recipes that use the banned item as an ingredient; those recipes also disappear from the viewer.

Keep Recipes Visible Elsewhere

The mod only hides items from recipe menus. Crafting recipes are deleted from the game itself, so even if a player knows the recipe, they can't craft it.
