Understand Monster Behavior and Adapt Your Playstyle
How the Stalker Learns
The Stalker observes which directions you look and how frequently you check your surroundings. Over multiple encounters, it identifies your visual habits and positions itself in areas you rarely scan. Vary your gaze patterns—look behind you, to the sides, and upward unpredictably to deny the creature reliable intelligence.
The Hunter's Prediction System
The Hunter uses the Stalker's gathered data to anticipate your escape routes. It doesn't chase you directly; instead, it cuts off where you're likely to run. Avoid predictable paths. Change your escape direction mid-chase and use terrain features like water, cliffs, and dense forests to break line of sight.
Chase Mechanics and Timing
Both creatures leave after you survive ten minutes of active pursuit. During this window, normal hostile mobs vanish and block placement is disabled. Plan your survival strategy around the timer rather than attempting to build defensive structures.
Long-Term Survival
Read your Survivor Diary regularly to deepen your understanding of enemy habits. Each encounter teaches you more about their patterns. Adapt your base layout, movement habits, and combat approach based on what you learn. Unpredictability is your strongest defense.
