Escape or Defeat the Hunter
Recognize the Threat
The Hunter arrives after the Stalker has gathered intelligence about your movement habits. This creature is far more dangerous—it crawls through doors, squeezes through windows, climbs walls, and swims rapidly. It predicts your escape routes instead of chasing directly behind you.
Use Tactical Items
Throw flares to hold the Hunter at a safe distance during active pursuit. Use disruptors to break its tracking ability and force it toward your last known position, buying time to escape. Craft these items before the encounter begins.
Combat Strategy
Engage with your Hunter's Sword for high damage output and attack speed. The Hunter collapses for six seconds after taking significant damage—use this recovery window to land additional hits or create distance. Alternatively, survive passively by avoiding direct confrontation until ten minutes elapse.
Environmental Awareness
During a chase, your view darkens when the Hunter closes within thirty blocks. Normal hostile mobs disappear within sixty-four blocks of active pursuit. You cannot place or break blocks to build shelter, so plan your escape routes beforehand and use natural terrain to your advantage.
