The Hunter's Sword

Your primary weapon against both creatures. Combine a dropped tooth with a stick to create this high-damage, fast-attacking blade. Dropped teeth come from defeated Hunters or may be found through other mod mechanics. Keep this weapon in your hotbar at all times.

Flares

These utility items create a protective perimeter during encounters. Throw flares when the Hunter approaches to maintain distance and prevent melee contact. Craft multiple flares before day three arrives so you have backups during intense chases.

Disruptors

Disruptors break the Hunter's tracking system and redirect its attention to your previous location. This gives you crucial seconds to reposition or escape. Like flares, prepare several disruptors in advance.

Crafting Priority

Consult your Survivor Diary for exact recipes. Prioritize crafting in this order: Hunter's Sword first (your only reliable damage source), then flares (defensive utility), then disruptors (tactical advantage). Gather materials early and store them safely away from your main base to ensure you can craft replacements after encounters.
