The Scrapbox is your primary tool for salvaging resources. Place weapons, tools, armor, and blocks into the Scrapbox to break them down into scrap components. These components serve as crafting materials for new items and gear.

This system lets you recover value from damaged or unwanted equipment rather than discarding it. Combine scrapbox output with the Chemistry Bench to process scrap materials further or duplicate ores through smelting.

Scrap components fill gaps in crafting recipes for base mod items, so breaking down gear is often necessary to progress through the mod's survival systems.
