Set Up the Pack to Display Dog Models Correctly

Requirements for Proper Functionality

Refined Dogs is a resource pack that changes both textures and the actual shape of wolves. To see the custom dog models and breeds correctly, your game needs specific mod support installed alongside the pack.

What You Need

1. Custom entity model loader: Your modloader must support mods that can load custom entity models (like Geckolib or similar frameworks)

2. Texture loading support: Ensure your setup can handle the 60+ custom textures included in the pack

3. Proper load order: Place Refined Dogs in your active resource packs list

Setup Steps

1. Verify you have the required model-loading mods installed

2. Add Refined Dogs to your resource packs folder

3. In-game, open Resource Packs and move Refined Dogs to your active list

4. If using animation packs, place Refined Dogs above them in the load order

5. Restart your game or reload chunks to see changes take effect

Without proper mod support, you'll only see vanilla wolf textures. If dogs still appear as plain wolves after setup, check that your modloader is compatible and all required dependencies are installed.
