Set Up Your First Power Generator

Choose Your Power Source

Before you can run electric kitchen appliances, you need a generator. The mod offers three main options:

  • Solar panels work during the day and are simple to set up
  • Wind turbines generate power continuously at height
  • Thermal generators convert heat into electricity

Start with solar panels if you're unsure—they require no fuel and work reliably during daylight hours.

Place and Connect Your Generator

1. Craft your chosen generator using the recipe guide

2. Place it in an open area (solar panels need sunlight; wind turbines need height)

3. Place your electric appliance (oven, freezer, steamer, etc.) directly adjacent to the generator

4. The appliance will automatically draw power when the generator produces it

Verify Power Flow

Watch for visual indicators on your appliances—they should show signs of being powered (lights, animations, or particle effects). If nothing happens, check that your generator is actively producing power and positioned correctly next to the appliance. You may need multiple generators if running several appliances at once.
