Adjust Vignette Darkness to Your Preference
Understanding Vignette Settings
The vignette effect is the darkening that naturally occurs at the edges of your screen in Minecraft. This resource pack reduces that effect, but you may want to fine-tune how much darkening remains based on your monitor and personal preference.
Customizing the Effect
1. Open your resource pack folder and locate the vignette texture file (typically found in assets/minecraft/textures/)
2. Look for files related to screen overlays or vignette effects
3. You can adjust the opacity or color values in the texture itself using an image editor
4. Lighter values will make corners brighter; darker values will restore more shadow
5. Save your changes and reload the resource pack in-game
6. Test by looking at different areas of your screen, especially the corners
Testing Your Changes
Visit bright areas like open fields or beaches to see the vignette effect most clearly. Compare corners to the center of your screen. If the effect is still too strong, lighten the texture further. If it's too subtle, increase the darkness slightly. Reload the resource pack after each adjustment to see changes immediately.
