How to Recycle Netherite Armor and Tools

Netherite Recycling Basics

Netherite items are rare and precious, making recycling them particularly valuable. When you recycle netherite armor or tools, you receive netherite scrap—the material needed to upgrade diamond gear at a smithing table.

The Recycling Workflow

Place your damaged or unwanted netherite item into the mod's recycling recipe. Unlike other materials that return their base form, netherite specifically converts to netherite scrap, which is the intermediate material in netherite crafting.

Strategic Use

• Recycle old netherite tools to get scrap for upgrading new diamond equipment
• This creates a sustainable cycle: upgrade diamond → use netherite → recycle damaged netherite → upgrade more diamond
• Particularly useful if you've accumulated multiple damaged netherite pieces
• Saves trips to the Nether for ancient debris farming

This recycling path makes netherite progression feel less punishing and encourages equipment rotation.
