Look Up Any Item's Crafting Recipe

Basic Recipe Lookup

The core feature of Recipe Commands Mod is viewing crafting recipes without leaving the game.

Steps:

1. Open your chat window (default: T key)

2. Type /recipes <item_name> or use the shorter /rec <item_name>

3. Press Enter

The mod will display the full crafting grid pattern with all ingredients positioned exactly as they appear on a crafting table.

Using Auto-Complete

If you're unsure of an item's exact name, start typing and the mod's auto-complete feature will suggest matching item names. This is especially helpful for items with long or unusual names.

Example: /rec dia might auto-complete to show options like Diamond Pickaxe, Diamond Sword, etc.

Once you select the correct item, the recipe displays immediately. Empty slots in the crafting grid are shown as underscores (_), making it easy to see which grid positions need ingredients and which should remain empty.

This works for any craftable item in your modpack, including items added by other mods.
