Set up PBR and POM effects with a compatible shader

Choose a compatible shader pack

Realtastic X512 is designed to work with shaders that support Physically Based Rendering (PBR) and Parallax Occlusion Mapping (POM). Popular choices include SEUS Renewed, Sildur's Vibrant, and Chocapic13. Install your chosen shader pack using your launcher's shader folder or mod manager.

Enable the resource pack

Load Realtastic X512 in your resource pack list and place it above any other texture packs. The order matters—this pack should take priority.

Verify PBR and POM are active

Launch the game and look at block surfaces in sunlight and near torches. You should see:

  • Realistic reflections on water, metal, and polished surfaces that shift with the sun
  • Surface depth on stone, wood, and dirt that appears bumpy rather than flat
  • Shadow detail in crevices and recessed areas of blocks

If surfaces look flat or textures appear washed out, check that your shader settings have PBR and POM enabled in the shader menu (usually accessed with a hotkey like Shift + O). Some shaders require manual activation of these features.
