Understand Color and Shape Consistency in Realistico Textures
Design Philosophy
Realistico balances hyper-realism with Minecraft's original aesthetic. Textures maintain correct colors and shape indicators from vanilla Minecraft so blocks remain instantly recognizable, while adding realistic detail, shadows, and smoother gradients.
What This Means In-Game
1. Block colors match vanilla—a dirt block is still brown, stone is still gray. This preserves Minecraft's visual language.
2. Shape cues are preserved—if a block has a distinctive pattern or marking in vanilla (like log rings or ore veins), Realistico enhances rather than replaces it.
3. Realistic details are additive—surface imperfections, weathering, and shadows are layered on top of the recognizable base texture.
4. Smooth transitions between color variations reduce the "blocky" appearance while keeping blocks distinct.
Why This Matters
This approach means you won't struggle to identify blocks or feel disoriented. The pack enhances immersion without sacrificing Minecraft's core visual identity or gameplay clarity.
