Realistic Physics Mod Guide: Gravity, Collapse, and Ragdolls
How Physics Works in This Mod
Realistic Physics Mod replaces vanilla's static behavior with a dynamic physics system. The core change is simple: things that should fall now do.
Blocks and structures. Blocks are no longer locked in place when unsupported. Caves and built structures can collapse, with blocks crumbling and breaking apart into smaller pieces rather than hanging in midair.
Items. Dropped items obey gravity instead of floating, so they settle on the ground.
Mobs. Vanilla mobs use interactive ragdoll physics when they fall. You can configure mobs to fracture into many small pieces, or use a "blocky" mode that splits them into their individual body parts.
World gravity. The world's gravity itself is adjustable, letting you simulate environments like the Moon or Mars. Lower gravity changes how everything falls and settles.
Because these systems interact, expect collapsing terrain and tumbling mobs to affect each other during play. Tune the settings to match how chaotic you want your world to feel.
